New User Access System Frequently Asked Questions

What is happening?
As you may already be aware, NDEC, in conjunction with the NTA, have been developing a new system for accessing the secure section of NDTMS.net. The new system is required to improve the audit of access to the statistics, but it will also provide an opportunity to develop the usability of the site for registered users.
When is the system changing?
The old registration form will be removed from the site on 21st January 2010. Over the weekend of 23rd / 24th January 2010 there will be a period of downtime during which the new system will be installed and the site will be reconfigured. On Monday 25th January 2010, the new system, including registration form, will be available on NDTMS.net, for users to start registering.
How do I register / re-regsiter for access?
To register (or re-register) for access to NDTMS.net please complete the registration form.
How will I log onto the site on 25th January 2010?
We will not be disabling any accounts on 25th January 2010: existing NDTMS users will still be able to log on to NDTMS.net with their existing username and password. They will then be able to apply for a new username and password while using the system. Once an existing user's new account is approved and set up, their old account will be disabled and they will need to log in with their new username and password.
How long will I have to re-register?
Old NDTMS.net usernames and passwords will remain valid until 12th March 2010. Please note that your new account must be approved by this date to avoid any gap in your access to the site, so please leave plenty of time for your application to go through the endorsement process. After 12th March 2010, any existing users who have not re-registered will lose access to the site until they complete the new registration form.
If I have an existing NDTMS.net account, will I automatically be approved for a new NDTMS.net account?
Part of the reason for conducting a user refresh on NDTMS.net is the recent tightening of the endorsement system and eligibility criteria. This may mean that some existing users, particularly those endorsed prior to October 2008, are no longer eligible for access under the new guidelines.
I've lost my old password: what should I do?
If you require access urgently, you should email webmaster@ndtms.net and we will arrange to reset your password for you. Otherwise, you should just register for a new account.
